Plenty of work has been happening across the Shire in the lead up to summer. New playgrounds have been constructed in Charles Orwin Reserve, Jannali and Casuarina Rd Reserve, Gymea.
Boat owners have been making excellent use of the upgraded Swallow Rock Boat Ramp, Grays Pt and the Hawkesbury Esplanade boat ramp which was upgraded with a new jetty and pontoon.
Over the past four months, 4.2km of new footpaths have been installed in Sutherland, Caringbah, Engadine, Kareela, Kirrawee, Gymea and Heathcote.
Council’s shopping centre upgrade program is progressing well in Bundeena and Engadine and work is set to continue over the new few months.
Roads across the Shire have not been left out, with works in Avenal Rd, Gymea, a new roundabout at the intersection of Hall Dr and Old Illawarra Rd, Menai, and the construction of new wombat crossings at Oyster Bay and Loftus Primary Schools. |
