Seeing Stars
by Patricia Shepherd

For the week beginning 27 October

New moon at 5 Scorpio 54

SCORPIO

The New Moon in your sign along with Mars makes it a great time for new beginnings and favourable impressions. Your energy is geared to going after what you want, just be aware that this sign and combination can be rather forceful.

SAGITTARIUS

Fortune is still smiling on you this week and the only thing you need to be careful of is biting off more than you can chew so don’t take on more than you can realistically accomplish.

CAPRICORN

You have been feeling pretty edgy and frustrated for some time and this has been creating havoc on the home and work front. You are a person who likes structure but after a time this becomes dull routine.

AQUARIUS

Although a fixed sign you do like to keep up with current trends so a little bit of readjusting over the next few weeks can go a long way towards making your life more interesting.

PISCES

Intuitive at the best of times this week’s alignment of Neptune and Mercury leaves you sensitive and in tune to the world around you. Constructively used can be enormously creative, negatively can be a great time waster.

ARIES

Mars and Uranus making watery eyes at each other you can expect your life to heat up with some unexpected encounters. Although you are not generally an inhibited type you may even surprise yourself.

TAURUS

This New Moon falling in your opposite sign of Scorpio highlights your solar seventh house hopefully heightening your awareness of the needs of your significant other and generating mutual empowerment.

GEMINI

You are able to maintain the right balance between yourself and others this week therefore creating an atmosphere where everyone is getting on. If an apology is needed they will be more receptive now.

CANCER

This New Moon highlights your solar fifth house stirring the need to express yourself creatively so as to foster positive self-development. Increased interaction with offspring is highlighted.

LEO

With all those chores at home finally coming under control you are able to peruse your work with pride. There is still a bit to do but the end is in sight so you can start planning that BBQ to show it all off.

VIRGO

The tempo of your life seems to increase and there is much more activity. There is a restlessness that sees you out and about more and this New Moon can have you changing your daily pattern.

LIBRA

With the Sun’s movement into Scorpio this is the time of year when you tend to focus on your financial affairs and commitments, going over the balance sheets and bank statements making sure all is in order.

NEW MOON AT 5 SCORPIO 54

The New Moon on Wednesday 29 October at 10:14am AEDT, is in the transformational sign of Scorpio. Of all the signs of the zodiac it is Scorpio that has the most potential for destruction and renewal. Potentially this New Moon can have us allowing a natural death to all those unsatisfying desires or experiences instead of turning over a new leaf and embracing and investigating a new way of being.

Use the power inherent in a New Moon cycle to initiate important changes in your life. Scorpio is about eliminating those inessentials that keep us trapped in a material world relying on its comforts and desires that never leave us satisfied or content for very long.

Scorpio’s penetrating insight allows us to experience ourselves as more than our physical body and to confront energies and laws that transcend the material plane. If we continue to cling to the old we cannot experience the new and Scorpio shows we continually need to ‘shed our skin’.

The semi-square from this New Moon to Saturn symbol of boundaries and form indicates a certain stubbornness concerning the need for change but if we take up the challenge we soon learn to value and appreciate and indeed grow from the variability of life.
