Seeing Stars
by Patricia Shepherd

For the week beginning 6 April

Full moon at 19 degrees 53 Libra on Friday 10 April

ARIES

What started for you at the end of last month seems to have lost some of its flavour and you are suddenly unsure of your course of action. This is OK for you were perhaps a bit impetuous.

TAURUS

As Venus, due to retrograde motion slips back into Pisces on Saturday, where she stays until the 24th you may find yourself drawn to the company of like-minded souls who share your convictions and beliefs.

GEMINI

The rash and impulsive manner of Mercury in Aries steadies and starts to apply itself in a more practical and steadfast manner. Anything that requires patience and endurance should be held over till Friday.

CANCER

If the last New Moon highlighted the need for setting goals and the need to be responsible for yourself then this month’s Full Moon may expose those areas that need some adaptation or compromise.

LEO

Resistance to authority may have some of our lions very disgruntled and an unhappy lion is not something we wish to cross as damage is caused to self and others. A mutual willingness to compromise needs to be achieved.

VIRGO

You become much more receptive to the thoughts and ideas of others in the workplace over the next few weeks but just be aware that you may also need to guard against being too easily influenced.

LIBRA

As Venus retrogrades back into impressionable Pisces try to avoid taking the easy way out as this will tend to have you feeling guilty and unhappy, and you can certainly live without that.

SCORPIO

Pluto begins its annual 5-month retrograde motion and although this does not herald earth-shattering events it does indicate that issues we have confronted in the past, perhaps regarding siblings, re-emerge for consideration.

SAGITTARIUS

Confidence is high this week as Apollo the Sun God and Zeus (Jupiter) stimulate and encourage each other. For us mere mortals an opportunity that is close at hand may be discovered which can be actualised with only a bit of effort.

CAPRICORN

You may feel that your efforts are being thwarted or hindered in some way by someone who doesn’t really understand what it is that needs to be accomplished. Take time out to go over the details to clarify matters yet again.

AQUARIUS

Misunderstandings with a sibling could cause ill will and resentment or perhaps it is a long-standing grudge that intensifies getting in the way of any reasonable communication. Try not to react.

PISCES

When Mercury and Neptune come into contact with each other intuition is enhanced so when that gut starts talking take a bit of notice as your receptiveness and perception can be acute.

Full moon at 19 degrees 53 Libra on Friday 10 April

The ‘scales of justice’ are illumined in this month’s Full Moon on Friday at 0.56 am AEST indicating not only the need to find a balance in our lives but also the need for cooperative effort. It highlights the ability to perceive and evaluate alternatives, to determine the many possibilities whilst experiencing the pull of possibly conflicting choices.

Jupiter’s involvement encourages us to become aware of our own needs because it is then we are able to recognise, respond to, and satisfy the needs of others. By identifying our wants and needs we accept responsibility for ourselves and are not dependent upon other people for satisfaction.

Mars, god of war and Saturn the timekeeper, also come into play creating a need to develop and display strength and courage. The fear of asserting ourselves because of retaliation or disapproval or perhaps it is a case of reacting too quickly, having short fuses and showing little self-restraint. The challenge seems to be about finding the right balance between the need for action and consideration for others, asserting ourselves in an appropriate manner.

An Astrological Mandala: Dane Rudhyar

Sabian Symbol

20 degrees Libra- A Rabbi performing his duties – the ability to draw on the power of an ancestral tradition in order to serve one’s fellow men.
