For the week beginning 24 August

Planets changing sign

VIRGO

If you have been putting off doing something for some time then this week would be a great time to consider and act on it. Energy level is high and with your natural care and caution resistance is overcome.

LIBRA

If you have become bored doing the same thing then it is high time for a change of pace. A new and exciting offer may provide just the diversion you seek or the people you meet are different from the norm.

SCORPIO

With your two rulers opposing each other and squaring off to Mercury over the next week or so you may find yourself being thwarted by what you seek. A power struggle would be unpleasant.

SAGITTARIUS

Over the next month take the time to reflect on how your life is progressing and whether it is going in the direction that is desired. Damage may be caused if pretending to be someone you are not.

CAPRICORN

The Sun’s movement into Virgo aligns two of the zodiac’s earth signs bringing a practical service orientation to the fore. This may mean looking at the ways and means that allow for a forward movement.

AQUARIUS

Tempers are frayed and irritability high, which can lead to spirited debates or strong arguments. Things spoken in the heat of the moment cannot be retracted and can leave a nasty impression.

PISCES

You may feel burdened this week by the needs of others and have to start looking at how you can resist these sometimes unfair obligations placed on you. Accept responsibility for own actions.

ARIES

Mars the warrior planet puts down his sword and moves into the more peaceful, domesticated Cancer where he feels somewhat shackled by apron strings and stirred by moods and emotions.

TAURUS

The Goddess of love and beauty Venus also moves from the home loving Cancer and goes looking for some more action in the pleasure seeking Leo. Looks become more important and vanity rears its head.

GEMINI

Mercury the communication planet changes signs on Wednesday from the observant, eye for detail sign of Virgo to the sign of the negotiator and peace keeper Libra but the hook up with Mars and Pluto means the opposite.

CANCER

The movement of Mars, planet of action, into your solar first house indicates a more inward directed energy but one that can also provide the motivation to seek to fulfil security issues.

LEO

With the entering of Venus into your solar first house and sign this is a good time of year for a complete make over. Go through the wardrobe throwing out what is not suitable and make that appointment with the hairdresser.

PLANETS CHANGING SIGN

This week we see a shift of focus and energy as we have three planets ingressing or entering a new sign.

First we see Mercury, the winged messenger, moving from practical, analytical Virgo into the more flexible, leave room for negotiation sign of Libra. This sign loves nothing more than debating an issue, swinging back and forth, making sure all sides are being heard. Mercury also forms a planetary pattern called a -Square with the rulers of Scorpio Mars and Pluto opposing each other. Decisions may be changed many times before all are in agreeance and probably not without heated arguments.

Next we see our warrior planet Mars moving from the mobile Gemini into the more emotionally oriented Cancer where actions are governed by instinct. This is not a comfortable position, as the fighting spirit likes to see and engage its enemy in hand-to-hand combat. There is nothing open about the way the Crab moves, preferring to scuttle away or remain hidden in its shell if provoked. Anger is not rage and fury but sulks, moodiness and manipulation. Involved also in the T-square mentioned above care needs to be taken as words and actions can wound and will take a long time, if ever to heal.

Last but not least we have the Goddess planet Venus, she of the pleasure and love principle moving from Cancer and the appreciation of home and family into Leo who refuses to hide his light under anyone’s bushel. Relationships perk up and the urge to socialise is strong, enjoyment is gained through entertaining and entertainment. Beautifying the self through clothing, makeup, haircut or anything that makes you feel good works as well.
